    beginner burrower

    Hi Scott,
I'd recommend Aphonopelma or a dwarf species like Koh Samui (beautiful spiders).

Ephebopus cyanognathus - They have always burrowed for me, fast but not aggressive and stunningly pretty.

Brachypelma sp - Given enough substrate, i've found mine will burrow to some extent.

Holothele incei - small species, pretty yellow colouration as adults, fast but not agressive.
And he piled upon the whale's white hump, the sum of all the rage and hate felt by his whole race. If his chest had been a cannon, he would have shot his heart upon it.

          Hi Scott,
not that I know of, possibly the Nandhu colloratovillosum but that's a terrestrial. Acanthoscurria geniculata is called something similar to that, but again I think that's a terrestrial. To be honest Scott if its a burrower you want and would profer a new world one, then get an Ephebopus or Aphonopelma. I've had my Ephebopus murinus for just over a year and she is a fantastic spider, not very big but loads of character. From what I've heard the other Ephebopus are great too, and of course the Costa Rican Zebra (Aphonopelma seemani) is a well recommended beginners spider. Good luck!

This is the one I was going to suggest, I ended up swapping mine for another L. parahybana, but when I had her I named her Jacy Bee, as she was an incredible burrower. Very fast and a bit skittish but not defensive at all.

the hygrometer measures the humidity, so during the day the humity dos go down a bit and back up again at night, plus it can vary depending on what the weather is doing.

                i hope that helps
