  • Very proud mum

First of all I will apologise if this is in the wrong place & I know its nothing to do with spids but I am so proud.
My son who is just 9 (Sonny & member of BTS) has just done his first qualifier for the british junior equestrian team. He was one of 47 competitors at a county show and had to get in the top 4 to be placed, he squeezed in at 4th place which makes him the youngest potential british team member ever. He needs to do another 7 shows around the country to add to his existing points.
He also has just started his BHS grade 1 exam which normally starts with school leavers at 17.
I am so proud of him so had to share it with you.

Funny thing is I would like him to go on and carry on the family tradition as my father, grandfather & great grandfather of becoming a race trainer/rider but his heart is in entomological, he wants to be like Ray Gabriel & Martin Nichlas, he wants to work with animals and bugs lol.
I suppose I should be greatful that my boy wants to be like Martin & Ray instead of some pop star lol.

I think the main thing is....whatever your children want to do.....support them, be part of their highs and lows, they'll know you're always there then !!
