The postie just brought my new slings woohoo!!!

I got an A. genic at 1cm. Tiny but so cute

I also got an A. purpurea who was meant to be 3cm but is only 1 - 1.5cm. I'm disappointed with the size but happy with the sling. Its a cute wee thing. I had to put some net over the holes in the tub so it wouldnt escape lol. My C. cyaneopubescens is 3cm and the A. purpurea is a dot in comparison.

They're gorgeous Elaine , more additions to the family.

I'm just the same as I got my A. avicularia yesterday, think it's an adult male. My daughter has just bought 3 more (another G. rosea but one of the colour forms, a Venezuelan Sun Tiger and another that she can't remember) from a work colleague which should be coming very soon. Have no doubt we'll be fighting over who has what lol. I'm just making room now for all the new tanks which are now slowly taking over my living room .

    C. cyaneopubescens - N. chromatus -
    L. parahybana - H. maculata x 2 - G. aureostriata
    P. irminia - P. murinus

Thanks Helen Congratulations on your new ones too. Its always exciting to have new T's arrive.

I'm really pleased with my 2 but a bit annoyed that I was sent such a tiny A. purpurea sling instead of the size stated on the website. Its less than half the size. I have emailed them about it.

I'm sure they will grow quickly Elaine, although I understand how you feel as when my boehmei arrived it was a tad smaller than I had imagined, the smithi looks huge compared to it. Having said that, I'm not disappointed with either of them,, and they'll grow in their own good time.

Thanks Helen. Dont get me wrong, I am well happy with the little guy but I had been going to get an A. metallica but decided on the A. purpurea because it was bigger. The A. metallica was 2cm and the A. purpurea 3cm. I should have just got an A. metallica. I already have 5 1cm A. versi slings so decided that I would be best getting one a bit bigger and stronger if that makes sense.

Nice slings Elaine, though it shows I haven't got a A. purpurea. Having looked on the interweb, mine looks more like A huriana - It was sold to me as a Wooly Pinktoe with the name A. purpurea...

            Hmm this should be fun!

              Thanks Kain

You are right though as yours looks nothing like mine. Good luck in your quest to find our what it is.
