most will moult on a silken hammock-like structure but if space is limited, they can and do moult on a silken pad on the floor.

As a little extra, dont be too worried if you dont see the T for a while.
I have an A. avicularia and she's been in her webbing (fully webbed in) for over a month now, she's just made a little hole in the front and from looking in i can see her sitting on her exuvium, so all looks well.

As Guy says if space (or structures) are limited they can moult on a little silken hammock either on, or very near the floor.
They'll always find a way around it.

Welcome to the forum (nice to have another Colin on here )

All mine make a tube web and shed in that.

My mates over the road freom me A avic moulted on the floor, and its in a massive tank!

I suppose they do it where they want too!

Must be to do with the extra space Kain, mine was a bit lost in her original enclosure but then i split it into two and she seems far happier and goes about "normal" spidery business.
