Breeding advice required

I have adult males in the G. rosea and C. cyaneopubescens guise, and am really battling to mate them.

There are no visible sperm webs and no drumming at all. Both are definitely male and adult, fully hooked and my females are about 12 - 15cm legspan.

Any help, advice, criticism you have will be more than I have now, which is zilch!

Try placing the males tanks so that they are in contact with the females tanks so they can feel eachothers vibrations more. Also put some of the females web in the males tank so he knows there's a lady in the vicinity.

Hi Paul,
In most cases, I wouldn't attempt a pairing unless you see signs of a sperm web first. Doing so just threatens the male as he's not prepared. How old are the males and females? When was the females' last moult etc? Do the males have enough room/'sperm-web-furniture' in their containers etc?

I know it may sound mad, but if you have any old exuvium from the females, try putting them in the male's tankand see if it gets them going. You never know.

I'm having diddly squat luck with my four G rosea males
I've had sperm webs (added a bit of cork bark for them to web up on and that worked a treat), i've had the drumming, i've had the climbing up the tank at the female.
But.....when i introduce them there's no interest from either party, very strange...thought i'd got this off as a fine art.

I've even given the males a couple of quid to buy the females a drink and that didn't work

Guy - They were bought as 10cm Sub-Adults in late Oct 2006. Both have only moulted once with me - the male in Dec and the female in Jan.

They are in a split tank, 30 x 20 x 15cm per half. Male and female have webbed heavily to the bark, bamboo etc in the tank.
