  • Well I've gone and done it now!!!

I've been talking about it for a while and after getting my P. murinus I thought what the hell.
SSssooooo, I've just ordered an Adult Female H. lividum from Dan @ the Tarantula-shop.co.uk

I've got the weekend to get the tank setup, and pics to follow hopefully on Tuesday.

Not really Kain, just a bit of banter.
I've heard lots of people praise them, one thing that is mentioned quite often is they've got the living conditions bang on so the spiders content in it's surroundings.

                    Mike,

by "transfer" do you mean "escape and loud screaming"

the Blair Witch Project will have nothing on that !!

                          Cheers Nicola!!!!

But after seeing the OBT upside down on a plastic lid/door Im prepared!!

I've been searching for ideas on setting up an enclosure, I know they're burrowers and I'll rarely see it but I want the tank to look nice!!!

The thing I've been wondering, is do I put a Hide for it to burrow under or just start a hole and hope in finishes it??

                          MIke

To be Honest Mike I wouldn't bother. What I did with mine was to put a covering of sphagnum moss over the substrate and stick a few bits of cork bark in to look like tree stumps or somehing. The spider wandered around an chose her own favorite spot to burrow in. She didn't need help, she was like an 8 legged earth-mover. I'll send a couple of pics to give you an idea of her enclosure. Thanks.
