  • new ling question?

    hi guys
I,ve just recieved my new Brachypelma Albopilosa ling this morning "woot!"
got a quick question before i put him/her in the tank...should the Substrate be damp (not boggy i know) or should i leave it dry for this type of T?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Colin
Nice choice of sling I keep meaning to get one but get distracted by others lol.

What size is your sling? If its really small I would put it into a tub with plenty of airholes rather than a tank. I have my slings in 2 x 2 inch tubs with dry substrate for the Brachy's and just spray a little bit of water onto the side of the tub every 2 days. My 3cm G. aureo is also in a tub 3 x 3 inch and wont be moved until he grows a bit more.

      Hi Eliane

thanks for the reply....the little guy is about 2cm long (body) though hard to tell as he/she is still hiding in the tissue! The little tank i have has about 6 inches by 3 inches of floor space...is that to big for the little guy?

        Hi Colin
I would put it in a smaller tub just now as it is so small. They dont need much space at that size so a plastic tub would do. My G. aureo is in a 3 x 2 inch tub with a 1 inch flowerpot hide. He looks small in the tub still.
