Didnt really know what to put as the title to this thread as I dont actually want to know the age as a number lol. Anywhos I just wanted to ask how do you tell when your sling is a juvie then when its a sub-adult ect. I mean how is it determined?

A lot of different people have different views and opinions when Spiderlings move on to be juveniles etc etc.
There is also a difference of opinion country to country as terminology differs too.
A long (ish) informative thread was written when answering the question "what is a sling?" this has some varied views on sizes, growth progress etc particularly from Michael Jacobi and Ray Gabriel, both very experienced in the hobby.

Thankyou, that sort of helps lol, so there is no defanition then. When my bros "juvie" B. ablopilosum moulted 2 weeks ago it now looks like a mini replica of an adult, totally different from the nearly hairless T a few weeks ago. Do this make it a sub-adult or large juvie? has about a 3" leg span from 2" premoult.
It's bootiful now, it looks so healthy
cant wait for my 4 to moult now lol.

In my opinion, i'd call that a juvenile.

I would class a T as a juv when it reaches a size that you would be worried were it to escape... so my 1" P Murinus is a juv lol...All those legs and not a pair of shoes in sight... Nice tarsus tho...Comment
