  • Sling first night

    Hey all

I got my first curly sling today , and on taking the advice of Elaine Ross (if your reading this HELLO ) i put him/her into a small container 3inches by 2 inches and all is well, the only thing im worried about now is...
do i put such a small container on the heating mat...or would it cook the little guy in such a small area?....any ideas?

I'd put the container in a larger container if you've got one. A tank belonging to a larger specimen would be ideal, as long as the little tank is escape / intruder proof.

All our slings are in individual pots, inside one big heated viv.

I've managed to raise my curly sling to 4th molt with no heat mat and its in a small tank, the size that microwave meals come in. (Its a lot bigger than people normally recommend but he's happy enough)It is then sat on top of the modem which does a fine job of warning the tank and when i add water the humidity goes up too.
