Hi Forum,
Upon the helpful advice of this forum I set up a water barrier to block little
ants from entering tarantula tanks. Set the tanks in trays full of water to create impassable moats. It has worked fine.
I'm leaving the tarantulas alone for 12 days when I go on vacation. No-one is available to mist, feed, top water dishes, tend to the 'moats'. In case the moats dry up while I'm gone is there something I can smear onto
the four table legs to block the little ants?
Will the tarantulas be ok if the water dish dries up after a week? That would be less than a week without water. I know they'll be ok without food and, probably, misting.
Thanks, Chris.
