  • Problem moult

    Hi
My Ephobus murinus(sling) has moulted but two of its legs are stuck.

I've watered its pot to raise humidity.

What is the best thing I can do for it?

It's walking around with no problem and it doesn't seem bothered when you touch it.

    Any advice appreciated

    Gary

    Hi Gary,
which legs are stuck and if so, how can the spider walk around?
Is the outer part of the old skin attached to the full length of the problem legs?

Its is the two rear ones on the right hand side if you number them clockwise leg 3 & 4

i hope i haven't confused you with this explanation.

      yes stuck the full length

      thanks

If the spiderling is able to freely move around, once its fully hardened off it will most likley shed off the effected leg and free its self from the old skin.

This happens at the joint which has a shut off valve and bleeding is kept to a minimum - thus it will survive.

        Good luck with it.
        Cheers
