  • A. versicolor moulted

One of my little A. versi's that I got from Howard is just finished moulting. I actually got to see it this time though not too clearly because of all the webbing.

They have only missed 2 feeds so I didnt expect them to moult for at least another few days or so yet. The little guy is so pale compared to the others but moving a little bit and having a stretch. I feel like a kid in a sweet shop lol. 1 down and 4 to go.

I must be caring for them right if moulting is successful??

ps. I was so excited and nervous that I forgot to take photo's.

Thanks Kain that puts my mind at ease

I'm so glad I got up really early to get the dogs out walking before it got too hot for them lol. I keep having a little peek (difficult with the webbing) to make sure all is well. I havent been this excited iin a very long time. Watching a moult sure beats buying new T's

Yeah I was up early due to my neighbours yapping dog (man if only I a gun...) but I did get to see one of my B vagans slings shed. It's about an inch now in legspan, it was about 1cm when I bought them (I have 3) back in February.

it's quite cool seeing them grow like that

Kain, you need to get one of those huge water guns, the big pump action things that squirts long distances. That should sort the yapping dog out.

I have 2 large dogs who very rarely bark. If they do then i know there is a good reason. My Northern Inuit does howl sometimes though but my neighbours love to hear it so all is ok.

Congrats on your B. vagans moult. Its amazing how much they grow. I cant see how much bigger my A. versi has gotten yet. Will have to wait until he dries out and moving more.

This is one of them little farty Jack Russell things. The guy has it tied up day and night, it's only got to hear a mouse squeak and away it goes. You say anything to the owner and her threatens to deck you (like to see him try and smack me....)

            Drives me mad!

Jack russell's arfe fabulous dogs with the right training so its sad to see a great dog go to waste like that. Its no wonder the poor dog barks all the time if its tied up all day. There are so many stories about dogs turning nasty because of that kind of tethering.
Have you tried speaking to the dog warden? A visit from him/her might make them think.
