  • feeding before molt

    hi there

i have a juv mexican red knee who is about to go into a molt as its not eaten now for about 3 weeks,, i have tried to feed every other day a cricket and yesterday i tried a pinkie mouse which it has eaten before.. i know a molt is immenent as my tarantula is acting very sluggish

it seems pointless distubing it as i think its not going to eat now until a week after the molt, so should i just wait till after the molt now to feed

I would do, if it's been eating regularly then it has enough food stored to see it through, just make sure there's clean fresh water available and leave it to do it's business without much disturbance. when it's moulted leave it a few days to harden up and recover then start feeding as normal
