    getting really bloody depressed now.

That's the last thing you needed. Don't know what to say other than you're being thought of and I hope things improve. If your A. chacona was wild caught it might be just old age, I'm afraid that gets us all. Hang in there, how are the new spiderlings doing?

The slings are going well, the little pokies don't half move like lightning!

Not sure if the A chocoana is WC, I bought her from the show...

Just really gutted now. I have noticed a leak on her rear leg, I have just sealed it with superglue and put her by her water bowl. Shes still moving, but not sure if shes is still alive or if its just the reflexes. I think the molt may have something to do with it.

      Man....feel so damn depressed.

This sounds like how I felt over my P. miranda saga. Had a male, bought an adult female, found she was already pregnant, the male was refused by her, the male died, then the female moulted and unpregnanted herself! Ok I've got a beautiful female P. miranda, I love the thing to bits and I'm grateful to have her, but what a complete pain the saga was, and the male was a complete star as well. I hope the injury to your chacona's back leg has tired her and that's what's cused the sluggishness. Let us know how things go.

            Kain,
is she in this state after a moult, if so...there's not a nibbly cricket hiding in the tank somewhere is there?

No mate, theres no crickets in the tank as I knew the molt was iminant so I didn't feed her.

She did decide to molt in her hide, which in fairness is probably abit cramped to moult in, so whether that has anything to do with it I don't know.

Shes still moving and I have put a shallower water dish in the tank for her and carefully moved her to it incase she wants a drink to replenish lost fluids. Shes hanging in, but only just.

JM - I don't know, the tank is not high enough for her to fall, so I can rule that out (it's about half an inch taller than her when shes stretched out). Theres no crickets. The only thing I can think of is the hide.

Fossorial spiders manage to moult in a, sometimes restrictive, burrow so that may not be of concern, my G. aureostriata moults in a hide only just higher than the spider itself with no problems.

No crickets, slim chance of a fall...bit of a puzzler mate

                keep us updated.

Shes still curled up abit but moving alot more. Shes drunk 1 cap of water (or its leaked, but I don't think it has!)

Maybe just maybe I have got to her just in time.

                    OMG

I think her legs hasn't hardend off! Some have kinks in them where there shouldn't be. I think her legs can't support her own wieght!

What can I do for her. I feel helpless.

How long ago did she moult, maybe it was an unusually difficult experience this time and she's taking a while recovering.
still doesn't explain the leg though.

Fingers crossed for you here mate.

                          She molted saturday.

Mayve she tried to move before she hardend off?

I'm using superglue to seal her up. Shes a fighter!

I have her out on my desk holding her up while she drinks.

Poor girl shes trying so hard. I think this is where we can help our T's. Maybe I should have left her where she was, but if I did I fear she will die.

                            Shes drinking bless her....

Ives sealed all the splits off in her legs, so at least now she not bleeding. Shes actaully moving better since I did that.

Hopefully the stopping of the leaks will increase the performance of the internal "hydraulics" and enable her to gain a bit more motion.

looks like tonight will be the "make or break" for her.
