is there a difference?

i have got a avicularia metallica and it has pale pinky white feet and was pale blue when it was a baby and i also have 4 adult versi's but they are bright coloured and and have white feet. I also have 26 baby versi's and they are real dark bright blue and i have 4 1 year old versi that are dark bright blue but they seem different from the one i have thats a metallica.
Is it the same sp or are they a tinsy winsy bit different?
someone on ap said that the metallica was an antilles but i am still confused, i have looked on the internet and asked at our wildlife colledge but they dont know, can you help please as i really do like to have proper labels on my spids.

I know they are different in the fact that you can't keep versi's together in the same viv the way you can metalics.

Antilles Pinktoe is a common name for a versi, not sure what metallica are called (loud and noisy? )

The versi can also be called the Martinique Pink Toe. I also don't know of any common name for the metallica.

I bought one and it was labelled as a "metallic pink toe "

As far as i'm aware the adult A. metalica is a fairly plain copper brown spider with a slight blue tinge on the legs and the versicolor is the colourful specimen we're all familiar with.
If they both originate from the antilles region of the West Indies then i would guess they could both have a similar common name.

I have both Avic metallica and Avic versicolour which I've grown up from spiderlings. The Avic metallica starts off very dark, almost black. As they grow they develop a metallic blue/turquoise sheen and their toes turn white. the abdomen remains black. The common name for Avic metallica is the 'Whitetoe'. The A. versicolour (Antilles Pink Toe) starts as a bright metallic blue spiderling. As they mature they turn slate grey with a red/black pattern on the abdomen like Avic. minatrix. From this they develop the characteristic Purple legs-emerald carapace-red abdomen. Hope this helps.
