Hi to all.
I'm totally new to spider maintaining! I've managed to have a tarantula adopt me!
Not being one to see any creature suffer neglect & cruelty, Spike came to live with us about a week ago. There is a very small picture of him(?) with my "name" I think. If I get courageous I'll publish them to a website and link it in, or post here if I can.
Up to now, he has been identified as
I was told by his previous that he only required feeding once every 6 months. I gave in to his sad looks and apart from a shiny new home with peaty flooring and a mopani log for hiding under or climbing on to get a better view of BBC TV, he is currently taking about 6 crickets a day. Seems to have spun web strands over the surface of the flooring as well, but only part of it, not all.
He seems happy enough. Quite active. I suppose I must be doing something right, but you are the experts (reading other posts) so any suggestions?
I don't wat to get into collecting different ones - I'll see this one into retirement, but thats it (possibly
)
So its over to you!
