  • my new smithi

    Yep! always ALWAYS wanted a smithi, and i picked one up last thursday..

    really have no clue how to sex t's, only know how to do snakes/lizards!

    here is a pic of him/her i took the other day.

    could anyone point me in the direction to a tutorial on sexing t's?

      excellent thanks Lee, when the smithi & my avic moult, i will get the site loaded up and sit there for probably hours working it out!

              ok old topic but here is my smithi setup just redone, sorry bout the image size, messing about with raw images.

              Also he molted today

                    Nope, as Neil has said, its an extra bacteria breeding ground in the enclosure.
                    A lot of places reccommend these with the intention of stopping a spiderling dunking and drowning, i personally use boiled smooth round pea gravel to line the waterbowl, never had a drowning or, due to the extra weight, a spider decide to move the waterdish around and tip it over either (as they do sometimes)
                    Don't forget to learn what you can, when you can, where you can.
