Zero remains?

Hello everyone,

After a feed of a single cricket, is it possible that there could be no remains at all? I'm aware I should remove any straight away but after last nights feed I can't find any anywhere! It was the first meal after a molt, could it be that everything was yummed up?

hi tomas i wouldnt concern yourself at all mate in all the years ive kept spiders ive never had to clear up after them,crickets seem to get eaten with nothing left over only when i feed my goliath do i sometimes find the odd rear leg left,thats one of the joys of keeping them theyre so self sufficient remember nobody clears up after them in the wild

Thanks for the reply, I was a tad concerned as there seem to be a few flies about recently, Just being on the cautious side as I wouldnt want to attract the more dangerous kind like phorids etc.

Each spider is different, Some of mine leave a bolus and some don't. Some of my spiders are even tidy and deposit all of their boluses in the same spot (like my P. murinus, convenient, huh?). As long as the tank is kept dry, you can wait and remove these on a monthly? basis. But id the cage is moist, these should be removed ASAP. I'd not worry about searching for them, if you don't see them don't worry, just worry about them if you do happen to see them. I rarely have to clean up boluses at all. Most Ts don't leave enough to worry about.

my spiders rarely leave anything to clear up tomas they eat every last bit !! and if they do i clean up whats left
