  • thinking of getting a East African Horned Baboon

    I'm thinking of getting a East African Horned Baboon as i wont a borrower and it has same sort or temp and humidity as my Chile rose are they a good 1 to get i think it is stunning,
    i have seen it in the spider shop for 25 pounds

    Hi Scott
    I dont know an awful lot about Baboon tarantula's so cant really advise. I think the horned baboon are the Ceratogyrus and are known to be very defensive. Have a read here

      i loved my C. darlingi's!!! fully recommend them as a beautiful and interesting spider. be aware they are defensive and like to stridulate if you bother them.
      another issue you may want to be aware of is that on one site, they claimed even the females only live a couple years. this may or may not be true, as mine were both male, but something to keep in mind.
      i'll get more one, they are beautiful!

                  I don't blame you! I started with a Pterinochilus out of curiosity and now its Pterinochilus, Ceratogyrus, Stromatopelma, Hetroscodra etc. They're fantastic creatures.
