My new baby

My new arrival this morning is a 3 inch A. sp. "guyana". She is very beautiful and docile too. I had not problems transfering here but was ready for her shooting up the wall but she sauntered into her new home and started webbing within a couple of minutes lol.

The common name for them is Pink toe. I bought her from someone on another forum although I know Lee at the spidershop is getting some in soon.

I cant seem to find the photo Kain posted. Can you post a link to it?

Nicola, that is one very beautiful spider It looks like its wearing furry trousers and I love the colour and markings on the carapace. Its also very docile. I think I will need to keep a lookout for some of these for sale.

There's pictures of the male and female on Guy Tansley's site. The male is quite different. Myself I hope that is one Avic thats communal. Can you immagine a small community of this species?

Its surprising to see that the male is so dark compared to the female. Very impressive. I will have a good search tomorrow to see what I can find out about them.
Oh yes, a little colony of these would be amazing
