  • A little advice needed

    Hi all,

I'm going away for a week and the current water dish I have doesn't last much over a few days, I have the lid of a pesto jar that would do the job but didn't know wether this is a good idea? Jar lids tend to have some sort of plastic or rubber ring to grant them a tight seal between the lid and the glass. Could this be toxic in any way? Does anyone else use metal jar lids for water dishes?

    Best Regards

    Hi Tom,

I use the plastic saucers that come with flowerpots, pop some boiled sterile pea gravel in the bottom (adds weight, and in my experience the water doesn't seem to " go off" as quickly)
you hjave the option from 2 inches to 8 inches to choose from.

      Hi

What you could do is go away for a week and not worry at all about the water requirements for your spider.

Just soak one corner of your spider case, go off have a great weeks holiday then return to find your spider just as healthy as it was when you left.
If this works for when I go away for 3 weeks then at a guess I think it is going to work for 1 week.
      All the best
      Chris
