Thermostat question

Hi all,

As I only have a small collection at the moment, I keep my T's in their individual tanks inside a bigger viv that I heat using a mat, taped to the back.
I keep the T's between 22 - 25 degrees. Background temp inside their individual tanks.
I was wondering if anyone knows if Habistats Dimmer stat can be used with mats??
At the mo I'm running a microclimate on/off stat, which turns on at 22deg and off at 25. Is it best to have the minor fluctuations in temp or keep a constant temp??
I suppose in the wild you would get minor fluctuations with wind etc?
Any thoughts??

The Habistat dimmer stat can certainly be used with mats, but the load must be between 40 watts and 600 watts. It will not regulate properly with less than 40 watts drawing on it.
