        HI Jay.

Yes it was bought as a G. Pulchra, but it's not the same colour as the other 4 of them. This one is brown and not black. We have one ready to moult, and it's balding, but still jet black in colour.

We don't have a clue what this is, although it was sold to us as a female G. Pulchra........
My aim in this hobby is to be faster than they are...lol.

          Hi.
If this is the same one at the Arachnoboards, for any positive proposition we shouild wait for the molt - that is possible to tell now is that this is some WC Grammostola spp in the premolt - the coloration is not match the species...
          Just wait for the molt.
          All the best,
          Mikhail from Russia

Had the same thing with a supposed male G.pulchra that i picked up at a trade show last year....I had allready paid for him and wasn't at all convinced when the dealer told me it was a sub adult G.p...We had a little discussion and agreed that i'd take it and if it molted out to anything other than a male G.p i'd not only get my money back but i'd also get to pick a freebie out of his stocklist....

Here he is after i had got him home.

and here he is 7 months later after moult...

            Case closed........and no freebie.

I bet you its pure black next moult. Looks like a Pre-moult pulchra to me.

                  I tend to agree G.pulchra.
Both of mine, prior to maturing were very brown pre moult.
