  • Have you witnessed Dyskinetic syndrome ?

    Hi,

If anyone has ever kept or lost a T with dyskinetic syndrome or what you believed was dyskinetic syndrome ? If so, please could you advise on the following .....

    1) How irratic were the spasms fast / slow ?

    2) Were the spasms continual in rest or only whilst in motion ?

    3) Did the condition remain constant or gradually worsen ?

    4) Did the spider ever eat whilst affected ?

    5) Or manage to drink whilst affected ?

    6) Did the spider recover. If so, was it after molting or simply recovered ?

    7) Did the spider die. If so, approx how long after symptoms began ?

Your input and any other information is appreciated.

    Regards

I had a pokie with the syndrome that sadly died.

    1) Varied, sometimes it was like slow and falling over, other times it looked like it was having a fit.

    2) Mainly while in motion, but noticed twitching while at rest occasionally.

    3) Got Worse

    4) Tried to, it would pouce on the cricket but had no control over its fangs.

    5) Unsure

    6) No it died

    7) About month and a half.

It was destressing to see, it was trying do act normal but it just kept falling over, its loss of control seemed worse on the left side too.

hey, i had a b.smithi with the syndrome. What saw was that it was always flinching and spasming whlie trying to walk. Couldnt eat or anything, it was horrible. He died 3 months later approx, and as far as im aware, they always die when they have this syndrome.
      Hope this helps!
