Much as people like to complain about the Royal Mail, bear in mind two things:
1) at least in the UK you are allowed to call a strike without facing the sack instantly - unlike other Western 'progressive' 'civilised' 'modern' (and so on and so forth) nations I can think of.
2) I used to live in Uruguay. Over there the postal services react with shock only when you actually receive what you were expecting.
No matter how much postal strikes get on my nerves, those two things always manage to brighten me up.
