  • arboreal breeding

    hi, can anyone help,
i have a friend who breeds b.smithi's and would like to try breeding his p. regalis. obviously with the smithi he uses a breeding tank but how would we go about breeding an arboreal? as obviously a breeding tank would not work with something that lives inside a piece of tree lol.
    any suggestions?

You can still use a breeding tank with them. If the female's container fits into it, then introduce the male to her container as normal, leave the lid off her container, and leave them in the breeding tank like that (as long as it has a lid!).

Many people have successfully left Poecilotheria spp. males in with the females for a long time.
