I have a Nikon D50 with the stock 18-55mm lens...
I could do with a nice macro lens but pennies wont allow at the moment...

Chris, same camera as on AP.
Steve, if you nip onto ebay you can pick up some screw on macro / extention lenses. (just like fitting a filter, they come in four different magnifications up to 10x)
saves lashing out hundreds on a lens
this is a quick shot with the 4x on my olympus E10

i know buy the reverseing ring so the can fit the std 55mm lens in reverse,
not tried that mysellf tho
for me using macro lens is getting or trying to get the in focus,dof rightchris

Well I'm not ever so technical...so all my pics are just done with my cheap & cheerful digital cam. (Digimax S500) But it does as much as I want anyway.

my camera which i forgot to mention, 400d,have couple of lens, but this type of photo i use a sigma 50mm 2.8 dg macro,sigma 500 dg flash with home made filter/defuser.got a flashgun bracket and off shoe cord ,so hopefully be playing with that over next few days,chris
