  • Hello

    Hello to everyone, its been a long time since i was last on, still keeping my beautiful T,s.
    They are all just a little bigger.
    Lost two, which was a bit sad, my Colbat blue, went into hiding about a month after the show, and when i decided to investigate about 3 months later found she had passed away. Anyone any ideas.
    But the good news is that my A Geniculata is now about 15mm and also my A Natalensis is the same.
    My B Smithi is about 10mm and my A Chalcodes is about the same. And the baby of them all, my GBB, is looking pretty at about 60mm.
    Anyway now i have a little more time, will post some pics, and be on more regularly.
    Hi again to you all.

      Hello Richard and welcome back.

      Sad to hear of your losses, at least you can take comfort in the fact you still have some spectacular spiders. I've really enjoyed watching my GBB go through its childhood and teenage years, they pretty much change colour every moult up to adulthood. As for the geniculata, I cant sing high enough prases for them... and in my opinion would rate them up there as a good so called 'beginner species'. Mine has never caused me problems although she is far from shy!!

      Here are some of the exuviums I've saved since aquiring my genic at the BTS show 2 years ago (20/05/06). She was about 2cm legspan when bought so you have all this to look forward to. The dates for the moults were as follows;

      04/06/06, 05/07/06, 26/08/06, 24/11/06, 08/04/07, 27/12/07

                  Hi Richard...I think expanding your collection will be inevitable...you know how it is...you go to a show, and you find you've always got room for just another few spids! hehehe Nice to *meet* ya anyways, and I'll look forward to your pics.
