  • Male or Female Blondi?

    trying to tell if my blondi is male or female thats all please tell me some of the obvious signs thanks heaps hey, but im more tham sure she is female lol

        nahh he or she is mine sorry guys i dont know how to post a pic yet but i had a good look at her last nite and she has no hooks on her front legs hey, and she starting to get a ridge next to her epigastric furrow, and the pet shop said she is a girl but wat would they know , if you can tell me how too post a pic that would be great thanks!

          What Toran means is he wants it for breeding if its a male. Nobody wants to buy a male haha!
          Check for tibial spurs Matthew, presuming its mature?

              You'd check the palps on a blondi as a first port of call to check for a mature male, they don't have tibial spurs.
              Don't forget to learn what you can, when you can, where you can.

                  yes they do, although i'm sure they are of a smaller size in comparison than, for example, Brachypelma or Grammostola

                    well i live in australia and you cant buy a lot of t's here the main t is a blondi there is heaps and i dont think mine is mature yet, but even soo it doesnt have hooks on her two front legs, that are used for holding the males fangs while mating, plus i aint into breeding which is a waste of time unless you are a hobbyist, so male or female is fine for me plus they are cheap to buy any way wen mine dies, i will get another one!

                        Ok, thanks to Colins recent post about tibial spurs, i can confidently say i must have seen them on T.Apophysis and this is why i was confused
