My L Para (when shes not being fussy and un-Lasiodora like by not eating) will deposit the pellet of dried remains at the farthest corner of her viv in a neat little pile
But she has done the same as your Klugi on occasions and devoured everything wings legs head the lot with not a trace left. As you say its perhaps the size of the spider a big fat locust is just a starter now wheres the main course and pud

Glad I stumbled on this thread, I have been wondering the same thing of my little G. rosea. Nothing. Absolutley nothing. I fed her first 3 days after she arrived, nothing left - assumed she must have been peckish and I had only given her a small morsel so fed her again the next night. Nothing left. Gave her a night off, bought some sligtly larger prey, nothing left again and the following night! Is she just ravenous or very house-proud?! I assumed that at some point I would be in there with my long tweezers doing the housework, but so far just water delivery!

Also, how long do I keep this feeding regime up? Do T's eat at every opportunity in fear of never seeing another meal or will she ignore prey if she is full-up?

Hoping I don't have to resort to woodlice, never been to keen, it's all those legs! With me it's eight legs only - no more - no less!

I'm glad you brought the thread back to life again - reminded me to update.
For crickets I'm still finding nothing, for the large cockroach I recently fed my Klugi, again nothing.
On Friday I gave her another 2 locusts and she ate the lot, nothing left. However on returning from a quick break Sat/Sun I found what I think is described as the bolus (?) - the owl like pellet which seems mostly made up of inedible carcass. She has conveniently left this in the same area as she uses to toilet, its very dry and fairly delicate but at least I know where its being stored.


My G. rosea has stopped eating and coming out so no update there, although I have previously found what I expected, dried out carcass.

Hi Peter,
I get the same thing with my M.Robustum, my Pulchra, and my B.Klaasi...they all gobble the food in its entirety, but then I'll suddenly get a bolus appear some weeks later. I'm always thorough when I clean out, the water bowl gets checked etc, so like you, I know the food is being totally consumed!
