I have had many e-mails in the past few weeks asking for info on sexing pokie's and How I do it. Well first off I couldn't sex a single pokie if it was not for my good friend Simon Goldsborough. I have been learning alot about pokie's from him so I must give credit to him. Before he showed me how to sex them right I thought ventral sexing pokies was impossible he showed me wrong time and time again.
So I have put together a diagram to show you exactly how to sex pokies with practice you can sex them 99% I would say 100% but most would say not. So I will just say out of a 100 you'll get one wrong.
Now I would like to point out that when sexing pokie's the younger the easier this in I would say best time too sex is when they are 1.5" inch up to 3"in The bigger the males get the more fuzz the get over the triangle which can make it harder to see it for sexing.
That is why I think so many have such hard times sexing pokie's is because they are trying to ventraly sex to old pokie's and they get it wrong. younger better.
So I hope this helps some of you out with sexing your pokie's. If you must challenge me then go ahead but there are rules
Rule 1 The photo must be clear.
Rule 2 The photo must be on slight upward angle ( so looking from the spinerets up and only slight angle)
Rule 3 only pokie's
Rule 4 please name of specie and size
Rule 5 now go grab your pokie's and find out how easy it is and have fun this is a hobby right.
