    Hey People
Hope you are all ok this fine evening!
I'm sorry about creating a thread on this, but I had to spread my joy! I've just been on the phone with my mum and catching up with her, and I've convinced her to let me have my Chile Rose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I have to do now is save up about £30, and I'll have myself a new pet Tarantula! Thank you to every one who helped me, you all know who you are (Louise Nichols! James Box! Mary Walters! Peter Lacey! Colin Wilson! Roy Patten! Tracy Sherwood-Farnfield! Tom Forman! Everyone else!
Now to do some hwk and play with PS a bit before going to sleep! Also, to save up a bit...

      enjoy

              Hi Rich
thats fantastic news well done on convincing your mum
Once you have your first one then the real fun begins. One turns into two,
two turns into three etc etc

You could point out that your spider is lonely and needs a friend in a couple of months te-he

All the best for now and don't forget some pictures when he/she has arrived

                          Great News!

Let us know when the ETA approaches so we can all extend a welcome to your new arrival.

Glad your mum came round, I am hoping mine will warm to Ruby when she meets her (not holding my breath though!).

my mum's terrified of spiders, but she has been going to a bug zoo back home in Canada in order to get used to things, so she can meet my zoo when she arrives haha! what a star she is!

Good for her. Actually my mum is not too bad with spiders, she just thinks that Ts are a bit more, well, hairy! It is my dad who is phobic of the 8 legged, which is why it surprised us all when he bought me Ruby, I mean really, he won't move a spider if they get one in the house (thankfully he won't kill it either) and is just as likely to leave it there for someone else to deal with! Still perhaps he could cope becuase he knew that she a) would not be living with him and b) be behind glass (well plastic anyway!) and c) is currently quite small.

I think with most people it is the quickness of movement isn't it, and lets face it unless you are trying to catch the little blighters (according to recent reports on this forum, Mr Harrington ) or feeding them, Ts are fairly lazy in the moving briskly department!
