    Tail-less whip scorpions
I absolutely love these creatures - does anyone breed them in the uk, or know if they are available?

You can usually find them here:

I've been fascinated by these, they look as if it were impossible to move but certainly remind me of the spider crabs ive seen a number of times. If I remember rightly they require a very humid enclosure and I was intrigued if these have the same defence of squirting acetic acid as the other vinegaroons. The wife was a definite NO on these, LOL.

Peter is right about the humidity and they like a tall container. As they like to climb and when they moult they "fall out" of thier old skins, it is best to line the container with black "butterfly" netting so they can climb about on this and moult safely.

Round about Kettering/BTS there are normally a few wild caughts in with pregnant females. Peter Wygoldts book is excelent, dont believe the names they are sold under, as usual they havent been near a taxonomist (so i am told).

I think Rob ???????????? (sorry forgot the surname) who is normally on Matt and Sues tables has bred them.

OH YES, put some maggots in damp substrate in the bottom on the cage and allow the flies to crawl up the netting, these are a very good source of food, cheaper and less dangerous than crickets.

        good ideas, Ray.
i've kept mine in a cereal container since i got it, and it moulted successfully once. i believe it made half a meal out of its cellmate, though, sadly.
i'll try that netting as well as maggots.

        wonderful creatures.
no defense mechanism but speed that i've seen.
mine was sold as Damon variegatus, but i've since come to believe that's wrong.
