    Today i got a delivery from www.martingoss.co.uk

1x Scytodes ahoronii (Israeli spitting spider)
    3x 1cm Thrixopelma pruriens slings
1x Acanthogonathus franckii (Mygalomorph, not tarantula)
    2x L2/3 Bothriurus coriaceus scorplings
    2x L2/3 Bothriurus keyserlingi scorplings
    1x Heterometrus cyaneus
    2x L3/4 Smeringurus mesaensis scorplings

quite excited to see the babies grow up. i have two adult B keyserlingi and one adult B coriaceus, and they're great little things, though the former is a pet hole.
S mesaensis look like aliens lol!

this and the Yamia's i'm expecting soon will make this a good couple of weeks.
now if i can only get my MM C. cyanopubescens a girlfriend...

Wonderful. I'd like some, but I cannot afford anything else right now lol (damnit why did I spend so much in the last few months!!!), and my sister and mum wouldn't let me get scorpions!
Nice one though mate, hope you have success raising them!

              i am
i'm not an addict though: i'm a geek! there's a big difference no, really!

only thing rather unpleasant is the fact that i may have to get used to tearing up larger crickets for the insanely tiny scorplings.

                  yeah i'm pretty pleased, Andy

unfortunately the Scytodes ahoronii didn't give me much of a show when i fed it...the cricket just walked up, got stuck in some silk right under the spider, and the spider just tucked in. so i guess i'll have to wait til next time for the venemous silk spray! still a cool looking little spider.
was tempted to get some Chaetopelma gracile, but maybe next time.

                        Newbies

Hello James,Love the sound of your newbies, The Spitting spider sounds really interesting how big do they get? The crazy thing is i tend to like all the hairy Ts. nearly got me a huge newbie the other day but no spiecies names are used at the shop and although they are all well looked after decided against it after talking to Louise. Maybe i should think of other kinds though sounds really interesting. Good Luck with them all. Are you going to the next bug fair?

Hi Yvonne, nice to hear from you
well i think the spitting spider has topped out at about an inch legspan. it's not a huge spider at all, but it's quite nice to look at. leopard spots, and an unusually large carapace. the legs are long and spindly.
it's nice to know what you're getting, for sure...especially when the price may be high! i once nearly got a G rosea for i think £80 with set up, but i'm glad i didn't now! my two sub-adults are perfect, and they were £15 for both as juvies...their housing was cheap too!
i'm not going to make it to the Yeovil one next weekend, but i will make it to Kettering, the BTS show, and hopefully Newark as well! not sure how i'll afford all three (what with all the crazy purchases i'll make lol), but who cares! you only live once
are you going to any of those shows?

[quote=James Box;24263]and hopefully Newark as well! [quote]

Could someone please give me info on this please? I can't make Kettering (too far) and the BTS Show is on my sons 4th birthday and we are expecting numero 2 about that time so my wife wouldn't be too happy. So if anyone could give me details and dates for Newark, I would really appreciate it. Plus Colin owes me a drink
                              Gloria my little Brachypelma smithi.
