  • Does anyone have Brachys?

    I posted this on BN and didnt have any joy so maybe you lot here can help me?
    Ok below is the list of brachys from what i have read some you cant find!
    but some you can.
    Anyone any idea where or how i can find the ones in red?
    Believe me i have looked and begged and nope no luck.

    Brachypelma albiceps
    Brachypelma albopilosum
    Brachypelma andrewi No data for this one
    Brachypelma angustum
    Brachypelma annitha
    Brachypelma auratum
    Brachypelma aureoceps again no data for this! only for 1 single female
    Brachypelma baumgarteni
    Brachypelma boehmei
    Brachypelma embrithes Nothing for this one either
    Brachypelma emilia
    Brachypelma epicureanum
    Brachypelma fossorium really want this one
    Brachypelma hamorii

    Brachypelma klaasi
    Brachypelma sabulosum
    Brachypelma schroederi
    Brachypelma smithi
    Brachypelma vagans
    Brachypelma verdezi

    Any info on the ones im missing would be great cos i am very slightly err obsessed

    There's a picture in our gallery of fossorium by Michael Jacobi, taken "on site" as it were, as they come from Costa Rica i would assume they'll be no exports due to 'Costas' strict export rulings of late.


    Checking to see if they're all valid species, your list (in red) all show up on the World Spider Catalogue so that's good.
    it seems B andrewi has had issues with being redescribed as Euathlus truculentus then moved back again (unless i read it wrong).

    As far as finding any examples in the hobby, i think it's down to scouring the web and using your obsessive behaviour

        And don't forget *nagging* Shaz....lol....you can always ask TheSpiderShop to keep an eye out, that's what I'd do anyhow.

            Im always bugging Lee he normally shouts if he has something i want!
            And Martin Goss is a top guy, But he has only stuff i already have
            Never fear i shall find them i just might be very old by time i find them

              Hi Shaz,
              If you're going to be bugging Lee can you bug him about getting some more P. murinus UMV as well? The more voices the better!!

                Lol ok, As long as i dont have to have any They are really not for me.
                I have poss got 3 Brachypelma epicureanum might need get some people to try confirm this for me when they arrive though.
                But all excited now
