What you call a shame is what I am really proud off. Star Trek is without a shadow of a doubt the worst spacey program ever made. I enjoy watching "Plan 9 from outer space" more as at least there are some good laughs in it.

Whoa! Now that was impressive...and right after I left to go back to the States...

Ray...you must have not been too far gone to witness it...considering how much pestering it took Stuart to wake you up the other night!

Cheers Nicola!! Hell...there was no chance of sleeping through that chaos here...I'm sure it woke the dead! lol

My T started doing the moonwalk.

Then just before the tremble he started scribbling 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... in the sand.

            I wish lol.

Nothing special here as far as I can remember.

But the earthquake, geez, felt like a giant worm had just broken through our living room floor.

Oh yeah but the funny thing is, my housemates who were in the living room at the time, didn't even notice !!!

Stanley...nope, there was absolutely no difference in behaviour within my tarantula collection...the miserable little wotsits wouldn't even talk to me in Latin! lol
The only creatures to become erratic were my snakes who seemed unable to relax...very manic cruising was occurring in the 24 hours before the quake happened.

Yvonne, thank you...I'm glad you and yours are all okay! *hugs n love* xxx

You have snakes. Lol that's crazy and sick (kl!); I heard about this woman who used to sleep with hers, and one day it stopped eating. After a few eeks she took it to the vet, who informed her it had been sizing her up for dinner!

But come one, why would you sleep with your pet snake?! I think it was a Python if I recall correctly.

EDIT: BTW, sick means really kl!

And I've always wanted an albino python - after having a sucessful career, I think I'm getting one of them fo' sure!

yeah Richard, but it wasn't a python...it was a COBRA! she had a pet cobra, and it slept by her bed, lying straight to measure and see if she'd fit inside!!!

dude...that is not only an urban legend, it's a complete myth, thankfully!

No this was actually coming from someone I talked to who said it was his wife's friend.
Although how do you know this other story isn't true though????

Did she have this Cobra in bed with her in an Earthquake?

This is my way of hopefully getting back on topic

Just talking to her, total 16 she says, strange how the tremour went up the country with the time lags between cornwall and yorkshire of about 10 mins.
the epicentre was in lincs ???? can't work it out

                                it's a truly strange phenomenon.
we had that one in Kent last year, too...slept through that, though. think it knocked a shingle off a roof.
strange place for quaking, what with the lack of faultlines!!!
                                16 is a rough deathtoll
