  • My Red Knee moulted - FINALLY!(inc pic)

My little Mexican Red Knee finally moulted last night, after nearly 12 weeks! I was worried as his abdomen had been MASSIVE for AGES! I checked him before I went to bed, and he'd already finished and was running in and out of his hide! He was 1 1/2cm and is now about 2cms. Huge growth I know, lol. Was hoping there might be a bit of colour this time, but no. See some markings though I'm glad he got through it ok

          Congratulations, El Guapo's looking good

I have 5 little smithi slings all about 1cm, two of them moulted in the last two days and one other is very dark so probably going to pop in the next day or so. This is the first one who shed. S/he grew by about 2mm! Impressive hey? lol.

My little smithi opisthosoma is looking rarther large too. I have a feeling Smiffy will moult soon. I'm allowing him/her to fast for a few days to see if it will take food. If it doesn't, I'll presume a moult is just around the corner.

            Nice pictures Leanne and Kate.

Come tomorrow it will have been 5 days since Smiffy has had a feed. I'll put in a cricket tomorrow and if its not devoured, I reckon a moult is on its way (heres hoping anyway!). At the moment its rump is looking large, a bit larger than in this picture. Seeing as though you asked Leanne! And who needs a second request to show off a pic

Congrats on the molts you guys.

Andrew, yeah, your kiddo is getting close. I wouldn't be surpised if it doesn't eat this week.

My smithi, Flighti, has had the big booty going on for several weeks as well, but no color change yet. Ahhh, the waiting game......

Smiffy has built a tunnel and blocked both entrances. All I can see from underneath is a rather large chamber. Fingers crossed

Oh Andrew, Smiffy is gorgeous!!! How big is s/he? I love the colouring. Hope for a bit of colour every moult, but think El Guapo's still got a while to go before any colours.

                      S/he's a little stunner
