I seem to remember reading somewhere ( but can't remember where) that crickets intended for use as food for T's should not be given citrus fruit, is this right?

I hope not. My lot of small black ones (which are a lovely green under the right light conditions!) devoured a half segment of semi dried orange the other day. I do try and vary their diet. Salad leaves, carrot, apple and fallen leaves off house plants. The only thing they will not even look at is celery. Either the stalk or leaves.

you may have read that in relation to lizards. However I'm pretty certain that you can feed your crickets/roaches etc anythign you want (provided it hasnt been treated with chemical pesticides) as spiders do all of their digesting outside of the body.
