On regards to Citharischius crawshayi they do get over nine inches leg span but this can take up to fifteen years that is longer than any brachypelma.
They grow slow when young have a jump from about tree inch to six inch and then they really slow down but this is more than likely one of the longest lived spider. If you keep them right nice and dark making sure they have at least 2 foot of burrow you will do well. also to help the chamber keep structure use a mix of 40% silver sand and 60% peat not just peat these need a good strong chamber.

I have 2 big females I bought from Lee last year, lovely spiders.
On the subject of burrows, at the minute mine are in tall plastic containers, now at work we have 80ltr clear plastic boxes, about 2ft deep, a fiver each, I am thinking of getting one each for my girls just to see what sort of burrow system they will create in larger area's, plus being wild caught, i think, they will be up to dig better system, my theory anyhow.

Though Bering in mind that most of my females I had in the past was wild court or captive born. And they was no difference in the burrow that they made its not just about depth and surface area these animals need to make large chambers if they do not you will not get an egg sac. One thing that I have found is that captive bread animals may still burrow very deep but they are more active on the surface I see my captive bread animal out every night.
