  • P Rufilata colonies.

Managed to aquire this spider the other day and it is a small juvenlie.

I have wanted to keep a small colony of spiders for a while and am a bit unsure on initially goin about it.

Do I just buy a couple more the same size and house them together or would it be better to grow them on a little first.

I know of a few people who keep Regalis colonies of 3 or 4 and do ok, with no deaths that i know of and very little aggression or defence towards each other.

Is Rufilata the same/similar or otherwise?

If this species is going to be a major ball ache I may start colonising pink toes first to get the hang of it, however I much prefere the pokies.

Sorry for short reply but I'm just about to go and do a gig.
Pokies are more successful than Avics
rufliata and subfusca are communal, there are others too
usually people set these up communally from the same sac, not sure that it would work if that's not the case

I have just set-up my first communities of rufs and subs

I will find out if theyre gona be same sac or not, I did have worries about that any way.

I will probably have 3 altogether but if theyre not same sac I will wait till other are available and start from scratch keeping this one singly.
