hiya naython, in my own personal opinion brachys are easy to rear, but they are a slow growing little lot. it depends on what you are after

I'm new to the hobby, only having my spiders for three months now and I have a B.smithi spiderling that is only the size of my little fingernail and he is doing fine but as Matthew said, they are very slow growing.

Naython, as I have said on AP in a reply to your post there I will hopefully have some para slings by then, they are real easy to keep, grow like weeds too, come and see me at my table.
I will more than likely have a few more sp that are coming on too.

Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens (Greenbottle Blue) was the first T that I raised from a sling. They are very hardy, heavy webbers and also very colourful, it's really fun to watch their patterns change as they grow.

                L. para seem easy as well. I got a 1cm one in the beginning of January. It's buried itself and I never see it but it does a good job getting rid of crickets and has rewarded me with 2 shed skins so far. Can't wait till it gets less shy.

Hi, if you're looking for something arboreal as well you can't go wrong with Poecilotheria. As long as the temperature and humidity is right you should be ok. Then again Mary should have some Psalmopoeus as well, you could give them a go.

                      Hi Mate
My 7.5 inch female L para has never showed any inclination to dig or burrow she is happy in full view day or night and like yours never pokes one pedipalp into her log hide no matter what

not sure about slings i imagine they are naturaly more timid as they would make a nice snack in the wild till they get big enough to dish it out

Yeah I am pretty sure they only burrow as slings, never heard of an shy adult L. para. I guess if I was one of the world's biggest spiders I wouldn't be too shy either! I don't think they even always burrow as slings, just mine has decided he'd rather be a Haplopelma right now

West....Black.... i live in the midlands, they're both to the left of me on a map

I thought a few other people would have caught on with the location of the Expo, i'll bet half of the visitors have your accent.

Dam waste of good sarcasm that, and i haven't got a lot of it left heh heh

See you at the shows sweetheart.
