How Long Without Eating?

since the last moult the T has been a dark brown colour with the pinkish hairs, but now it is jet black and has twice as many hairs, especially on its' legs - is this normal as they mature?

Mine moulted yesterday and yes they go velvet black with those salmon coloured hairs
stunning till they get mucky again and return to brown
