  • Be part of the BTS Barmy Army

    Hi everyone....its showtime.......

yes the BTS Exhibition draws ever nearer and as usual the BTS Army will be ascending on the Midlands like a plague of alcoholic locust.

Of course its not all about drinking, eating and generally misbehaving. We do actually work our socks off to bring you the Greatest Show on Earth. Now thats were you come iin.

We require help on SATURDAY. Now I stress SATURDAY. We have more than enough volunteers on Sunday. So if, and only if you fit the following bill then drop me an e-mail

    1. We start at 9.30 sharp on Saturday putting tables out.
    2. We finish at around 1.00pm

To be eligible for this once in a lifetime offer you must be strong and able to carry tables, possibly insane, willing to carry out my orders without question and able to arrive on time. (The last one is the most important). In return for your help on SATURDAY ( did I mention that already?) you will recieve a free pass to enter the BTS Exhibition and be eligible to join the growing masses who insist on buying us a drink on the Saturday night . You cant say fairer than that now can you.

Seriously if you think you can help us Saturday morning drop me an e-mail.

Damn!!! Ray if I was coming on Sunday I'd have been more than happy to help. I work for DHL/Argos Delivery so lifting tables would be a sinch compared to the 40, 50 and 60Kg flat packs I'm used to.

Hi Ray and Angie, I'll be there as usual but this time with a new helper. Unfortunately, he's only 3 and a half months old but there's nothing like teaching them young, is there!! I think he's probably got more energy than some of the BTS Commitee anyway!! Definitely better looking as he gets his good looks from me!! See you there ( a pint, was it, Ray?)

C,mon everybody, we need muscles! I don't want to carry all the tables alone Your BTS needs you! Ray needs you...I need you.
Did Ray say that you'll be mentioned in dispatches...ie, the next Journal after the Show! That's got to be worth a few hours of blood, sweat and tears, isn't it And you have the added advantage of meeting me... and trying to understand what I'm saying! Ray and Mark still can't understand me after several years...who can? The biggest advantage of all is that you get to sit at the High Table with some of the BTS Commitee on Saturday night, in the pub, next to the hotel.
Priceless You can meet TV Stars (no names mentioned, Martin!) and buy them a drink! You can buy me a drink also Ray and Mark never say no to a drink either! So, c'mon, send an e mail to Ray and say you'll be there on Saturday at 9.30 am. you won't regret it... there's only one way to find out... be there

Would love to help only I will be stuck in Germany. What I will do though is carry my kitchen table and chairs a couple times around the block, so that I don't feel left out and so that you know there is someone, somewhere going though the same hell as you at the same time. I have my cardbord cut out of Ray at the ready and Bo says she will try her best brummie acent whilst shouting at me to get a move on.

Have a good day anyway. You know its worth the effort.
          All the best
          Chris

Hi Eddy, we'll be in the urban jungle drinking cold beer at approx 2pm.
You know you'll miss us and won't enjoy yourself in South America
We'll be thinking of you thinking of us thinking of a cold beer
Have a great time... sure you will.

Sorry to dissapoint you Tom but the show takes a full day to set up. By the time we have moved 160 tables, put up about 200 direction signs , distributed leaflets around the area, been on local radio to promote it and then checked its all ready again its time for a pint. No traders arrive until Sunday. the show opens at 11.00pm.

Of course you could always come along and help us set up on Saturday. Its hard work but we have a great laugh. .......usually at me as I get more and more stressed as the day goes on.

i'll see what i can do about coming, it'd be fun and i'd love to help! just a matter of cheap acommodation for the night as i'm skint after Kettering lol
Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars... Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.
