  • couldnt it have waited??

i sat the other day fine tuning my shopping list for the bts show and narrowed it down to about 25 Ts. i was at work yesterday and was called into the boss's office to hear the shocking news that i was being laid off, oh crap i thought, how can i afford my new Ts now. my reply to the news shocked him a little as i believe it was along the lines of 'can we forget we had this coversation and have it again in about 2 weeks' lol.
i will prob still be coming to the show but am going to be too poor to top up my collection.

I think we're going to see lots more redundances tbh as the current financial climate filters down through the various trades.
Sorry to hear your news, hopefully things will imrove for you.

                Awww Matt, many sympathies.
What was on you shopping list? Narrowing it down to 25 T's was good going...I always say I'm only going after a couple, then come home with the car boot jammed full!
Good luck with getting yourself fixed up with something else as soon as poss.

Sorry to hear about your situation Matt, and you as well Ray. I had the embarrassment last month of being sent to a doctor by the DSS and being told I wasn't physically well enough to work! Don't worry you two, you'll be back in work in no time. And it will be a brilliant show. (25 spiders, blimey!) My list is down to 9 at the mo.

Matthew and Ray, I can understand your situation. I was laid off 2.5 weeks before Christmas last year. I was a worrying time but luckily I found a job a few days before Christmas, but didn't start till halfway through January and didn't get my first wage until halfway through February. It was a very tough time and wouldn't wish it on anyone (except maybe one person I know, but that is a long story!). I do hope you both find something you want to do very soon.
