    HELP,i recently added to my large T collection a young blue forest scorpion,not sure of the latin name,had it about 4 months and ive just noticed after moulting a certain part of its tail is missing....the telson,HELP!!!! will it be ok??? where did it go??? omg ive no experience with these buggers and im worried how it will feed without it,its fed on small crickets now will it be able to catch them???
    all those moments will be lost in time.....like tears........in rain

    Yes it will be fine! the powerful claws will deal with small crickets, they seldom use there sting anyway...

      Dont panic as Mark says it is rare that they use the sting to kill prey choosing to use theirs claws.

        And to add to this even more, i've known of scorpions that have lost their telson, parts of legs AND a palp (after being in fights) that have successfully grown on and have been very active hunters still.

        survival of the fittest doesn't fit in with these guys.

        I'm sure after a nuclear war there'll be ants, roaches, scorpions and Mk II Landrovers left

          thanks everyone for the replies,ive been checking up on the little bugger and its still hunting round the tank quite happily so im happy now,and as for the aftermath of a nuclear war of course series 2/3 landrovers will still be around ive got 2 of them and they are one of the only things in life you can rely on lol.....thanks again every one,my brazilian white leg/knee has moulted tonight its all go in my zoo today!!! and i wish nathan all the best with his new cobalt blue,gone but not forgotten all the best mate
