Tho I have just had a mantis ooth split and release about 200 baby mantids on me...might have my hands full for a bit... :S
Im sure she cant moan about 1 spider if theyre are 200 more horrible insects in the room mate.

The pink toes are cute from about 6 months old, mine is on its 3rd molt, and hasnt quite changed over in colour from black feet, pink body, to pink feet black body. I reckon this molt may produce those colours and i cant wait.

to be honest one of my favourite spiders due to the fact that they have pokie manuvarability but are really docile most of the time. Quite unlike pokies.

Hey Martin, you've gotten some good advice so far.

I would agree with what most have said of putting your heatmat at the side of some tank and have your spiderling pots inside of this tank.

Heatstat is not needed with heatmats whatsoever, they are so weak, I just cover holes as needed to get heat up to the desired level, heatstats turn the heat down so really not needed and some ppl even get two heatmats to get a bit more heat going.

What colin meant with the water dropping on the substrate is that you should get something like a pipette and drop a few drops onto the substrate instead of using a spray bottle. I rather do this as spiders do not like water spray.

Gl with the mantis, I take it you have some chinese mantis by the sound of it? How many are left out of the 200? I've heard of some very fast death rates with these as they are more of an advanced species.

It will be impossible to feed them all so try and get them down to a manageable size and then you will have to give them lots and lots of space. Chinese mantis are harder to rear than other mantis because of their space requirements mainly.
