  • The joys of youth...

    Hey all,
Quick question; when would a T be classed as a sling, a juvenile, a sub-adult and an adult?

My A.seemani sling moulted again yesterday. It's probably about an inch long now, and has changed from it's fauny-brown colour to black all over. No sign of the stiping on the legs tho, which is what I'm waiting for
Any idea how many more moults before I'll start seeing these patterns?

    Thanks!

when a spider emerges from the egg sack it goes through 2 nymph stages before moulting into a sling. At about 6 -7cm it isd fair to say you have a juvie and at 10-12cm a su-adult, an adult who is sexually immature. Finally when they are ready to breed they are adult. This doesn't apply to dw
arf species as they are smaller.

      Thanks for the advice Nicola.

Any idea when my A.seemani will start to show it's markings?

my A seemani slings just started showing colours after their most recent moult. i'd say they are about 4 cms off the top of my head.
