  • GBB update...possibly gravid?

As many of you know, earlier this year I attempted to mate my male and female GBB, this resulted in the male being eaten.

Well, over the last 6 weeks, the female has gotten VERY fat. She has almost tripled in size, but I do not believe she has eaten enough crickets to account for this weight gain.

Since the mating, she did not produce any webbing at all, but suddenly over the last couple of nights she has completely sealed herself in a clay pot. Now, tonight I have observed her pushing substrate from the opening in front of her pot.

Is this wishful thinking, or is there a chance I may have been successful?

Managed to get a few pics, sorry for the poor images. I didn't want to disturb her by using the flash.

hey good luck! apparently it's no small feat to get these to produce a sac, so fingers crossed
