Hey fellow SE Asian fanatic!

I know, I know, I actually thought a lot before putting it up, one hell of a fantastic reference guide. I did not look for a BTS auction area, I wish I had of, as you say it would have been a far preferable area to sell it!!

I'm not mentioning it in any of the US sites, would be good to see it stay in Oz or go home, to the motherland

An excellent reference work Steve. I have a copy and I was lucky enough to find a VERY VERY rare cope of the book in A5 format. Now that is rare.

Could anybody please tell me where copies of this type of paper can usually be found please? By that I mean more recent ones which are more readily available. This really interests me and I'd like to know what's out there.

Hi Nicola, there is no hard and fast rule on finding papers. Lists of new papers are hard to find as it changes daily.

first up you need to be specific in what you are looking for. Ie know what paper you want and who wrote it. The first stop should be the British Library as all books and papers aer normally lodged with them. They have an excellent website and search facility

The thing to remember though is that when looking for old papers such as original descriptions the paper may be very short ( often a few lines) and in its original language. I once purchased a paper on a species that stated its colour and location only and that was in French!!
Every paper has a cost that normally includes copywrite fee and a Libraray admin charge. This can often push the price to around £20 per paper. So before you but do your research. Its a costly exercise. Many of us hold papers and are happy to share. Post up on the forum and someone may oblige.

Try searching for the papers through google as there are some excellent resouce sites out there but again the more obscure the more the cost.
With Andrews book it was published in limited numbers at the time and was snapped up.

Another good source is second hand book shops and even charity shops.

Thanks Ray, I'll have a look and see what's there. I'm particularly interested in stuff on Poecilotheris sp. and Selenotypus, unless this is part of Dr. Raven'sreview in which case I'll wait. Wouldn't mind some information on Ornithoctonus too!
