  • G. aureostriata question

As some of you may know I have a G. aureostriata, which I brought a few weeks ago. Since I’ve had it, the spider will spend all of it’s time at the top or very near the top of the tank, even squeezing itself into the lid. Looking on the BTS question matrix, it seems that the substrate could be too dry or wet, at the moment it’s pretty dry on the surface but gets a little wetter deeper down (I keep this damp to help with humidity). It seems to hang over the heat mat a lot as well, I’m going to buy a larger one as the one provided in the kit can just about keep the tank to 20 degree’s, is this too cool? Is the substrate too wet or dry?, it’s neat coir, and I’ve not used the moss or bark chips that came with the kit, should I? It seems to feed well, going through four or five crickets on a six day cycle.
    Thanks
    Alex.

think sometimes they do that just for the heck of it, really.
i've had a few climbers, they eventually settled down.
as long as it can't fall too far should be alright, if you're share everything else is fine.
